This bag is made from USDA Certified Biobased Cactus leather from Desserto® (35% cactus + 65% Bio-PU), which is currently 40% plant-based and the materials are partially biodegradable under anaerobic thermophilic conditions.

The Cactus leather materials can be either chemically or mechanically recycled. The materials are free of toxic chemicals, phthalates and PVC. The materials are vegan approved and certified since there are no animal origin components in the formulations. To maintain it’s original appearance, avoid prolong exposure to direct light, heat and contact with water, grease, perfumes and cosmetics. If wet, clean the stain with a solution of mild liquid, shampoo type cleaner water and dry the surface with a dry white cotton cloth. Do not overload the bag and store in it’s protection bag for storage. 

This bag is handcrafted by a small family owned production from Porto, where high-quality, precision work and a love for the artisanal process have been passed down for generations.

All employees enjoy good working conditions, are from Portugal and most work there as a handbag artisan for years. Even all our handbag accessories are made in Lisbon and carefully shipped to Porto for the finishing, ensuring each handbag is finished with the utmost care.
